The 2017-18 school year marks my 11th year as an educator. Most of my career has been in public education; however, for three of these 11 years, I worked as a teacher/tutor for a non-profit education organization. I love teaching, and I love helping young people to realize their full potential.
While I love teaching junior high, I am certified to teach in both Oklahoma and Missouri for all grade levels (pre-k through 12). I've taught many different grade levels. Before coming to Noel Jr. High, I was an early childhood (pre-k) teacher! Yes, believe it or not, I really was, and I really enjoyed it!
I am a University of Oklahoma graduate (OU at Norman, OK) with a BA in Journalism and a minor in English. I worked as a journalist for some 15 years, but always had the desire to get in the classroom to work with kids. I wouldn't wish to be doing anything other than what I do, which is to spend my day with the greatest, most talented students I've ever been around--YOU!!!
YOU matter in my classroom, and that's why I am here. 
I am married with one 13-year-old son. While I live in Oklahoma, my short drive to Noel, MO every day is time I treasure! Happy new school year, and remember:
